Decal system for LWRP

    To the best of my knowledge I can’t find a way to do decals or project textures to geometry in LWRP.

    Decals are really handy for games dev, for example things like bullet holes, graffiti or puddles are quite common decals for coders or environment artists to use.

    Are decals on the roadmap for LWRP?

    Failing that, is there a work around?

    I second the need for decals. They have been a staple of games since the late 1990's.

    is this because projectors are too expensive in LWRP?

    Decals aren't too expensive when used within reason- just your standard shading costs. They just don't want to do them or have other priorities.

    projectors are entirely absent though... They do tend to have a massive footprint
