I am setting up runtime blood decals for my game with normal maps. When I place several decal projectors overlapping in the editor it works fine: Screenshot_correct.png

When I run the game, these overlapping decals still work fine because they were created before runtime.

But when I overlap decals that were instantiated at runtime, the decals seem to apply on top of each other and have weird normals:

The decal projectors are exactly the same, they were just instantiated rather than already being in the scene beforehand.
Does anyone know a fix? I don't want to just disable decal normals entirely, but that's the only solution I have found so far.

Figured it out. My spawned decals were upside down. I'm not too bright.
