Are you willing to return the money to people who bought the unity3 edition (which never worked)?

Well it works now, and much like Unity indie, don't get uppity because they decided to make it free.

I bought a product that was advertised to work and it didn't. I waited for a bugfix. And this free version does not seem to be bug free either. If you shoot the robot you get this error: "Profiler.EndFrame is called but not all BeginSample / EndSample calls have been balanced out!
    " and the editor freezes.

In fact, I also compiled the solution and it gives me the very same errors of the bogus bought version.

In case of support problems etc you should contact their support and seek a solution.
The board is the wrong place for that

So wait, this is totally free? I remember the demo one only allowed liek 3 decals per scene, and was limited to other stuff aswell, so you had to pay to get the full thing.

i remember you selling it for 30$ and IMO this was really cheap! i feel sorry that you received replies from people complaining about the price. this is HIGHLY appreciated for what you did and i hope the community will consider it. Be sure to that i will donate! I know how hard it can be to work on stuff like that and we don't pay bills with thanks.

I see amateurs selling crappy 3d assets for 5X the price of your work and no one complain even if it look like **** :)... So thanks again and keep up the good work!

    cheers

    This is awesome :D
Will it work with unity terrain? :)

Edit: As unity terrain uses some kind of mesh optimization.

Hi, before this stuff starts to sink in the forum I would like to suggest to Unity or directly to the developer to suggest to unity to put this masterpiece of code in a visible section of the resource area. It fills particularly well in the Unity Extensions.

Just a question, the release of the code and this license mode change means that the tool is officially discontinued?.

I'd suggest to iron out the last errors and put this on the asset store. That way, it won't get lost among other forum threads.

    Hey Folks,

thx a lot for this awome stuff :D
Curently im working on a topdown shooter and
your framework is exactly what i was looking for.

It uses the decal Framework a lot.
The Framework was incredible easy to implement, even
    in unity 3.

    http://forum.unity3d.com/threads/66359-Sunset-%28-Topdown-Shooter-Prototype-%29

It would be nice to get some feedback.
And i realy would like to see more frameshift using games on this thread,
just to see that others use it for.

I paid for this and didn't get to use it yet in Unity 2.6 as I'm working on other aspects, so it's good to know that it will work with Unity 3.

Sorry, but I saw this and all I could think at that moment all that I could think or say was...
    "DAVEEEEEEEE".

Finished. Soz, title of my fav song and done by my fav band, Depeche Mode. Woop.

On a serious tone, (lol), this looks awesome- a nice stable decal framework is definitely something we all needed. Thumbs up to you!

Hello, I have in mind to use Decal FrameWork in my current project, I'm crating simple-fun race game for iOS, and I wish to instantiate a race steps behind wheels , so I will be grateful for any kind of help.
    PS.
Is Decal Framework work on iOS ,and if so is there any think that I need to get in mind when using it.

    Thanks

Excuse me for being new, where can I find the free open source version of the decal framework?
I can only find the €42 version in the asset-store.

    best regards, jorgen.

It seems the framework doesn't create decal meshes on any objects that are marked as static. Which is a bit of a catch 22 since static is key to batching.

    Is this a bug?
