I've been using Unity 5 with MonoDevelop for a while now and successfully debugged Unity Android apps on my phone without too much trouble.

Having just upgraded to Unity 5.2 I'm now using Visual Studio 2015 as my editor and debugger, and this works fine on PC.

However, I'm now trying to debug my app on Android and I can't figure out how to make it work.

Once I've done my build and run, if I select Debug->Attach Unity Debugger it pops up a dialog (Select Unity Instance) but the phone instance isn't listed (like it was on Mono).

If I then select input IP it pops up a Custom IP endpoint dialog, however if I enter my phone's IP address and the standard port 5555 (which I have it configured to) it doesn't attach either.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I switched back to MonoDevelop and rebooted a couple of times and now I've tried this again. This time when I selected Debug->Attach Unity Debugger it listed the remote process as an option to attach to and appears to work fine. There was no need to select an ip address and port.
