Hi. Unity 5 as a small new feature that I wish to deactivate.

When I want to select an object like these copper pipes, I need to click once on them to select the parent and a second time to select the child (the pipes).

In Unity 5 a double click focuses the camera like pressing "F" which means when I click twice to select an object, it focuses on the parent instead. Since I work a lot on architectural projects, I end up un-zooming the whole scene many times like on this screen shot.

If not already implemented, can you please make it optional in the final release?

    I agree.

As a workaround, if you do a much (much) slower double click, you can then select the child without the focus.

I also manage to work around it but I think we can agree that concentrating on working slower won't be an acceptable solution. :D

    I absolutely agree.

You could even submit it as a bug report, it will probably have higher chances of being fixed/changed that way.
