    How easy will the replacement of existing assets (weapons, for example) in the system? Will any documentation on such topic exist? Any special requirements on the models? Special rigging, etc?

    Also, what's the current release date?

    Is there any pre-order available? Would pre-orders help you guys release early, since more funds would be gathered?

    I wouldn't think so, because it's all set up from raycasting from a weapon camera which contains the weapons hud, and it is all raycasted from that......e.g, for 3rd person it wouldn't work because your guns would have to be in the sky :p

    It would work in a 3rd person game, you would just have to integrate your own 3rd person controller, integrate a camera, and modify the aim controls and animations. It might be difficult to do without knowing the code but almost definitely possible.

    Raycasting from the camera wouldn't be a problem - that just ensures that the gun always fires towards the crosshair.

    Any more updates on the release?
    Also, in the .99 roadmap you said that it will use the Unity 3 character motor instead of the FPSWalker DB, does this still hold true?

    @Retromania It's still on it's way, but some scheduling issues have delayed the release. The package itself is essentially done, we just need to finish documentation and preparations for the asset store.

    Also @TehWut it uses the unity 3 character motor. This fixed glitches with walking animations/sway (any incline would make the controller think it was airborne) as well as giving better movement.

    Thanks for that, I really love the number of options on the character motor (ability to change direction in air, perpendicular surface jumping, slope-speed mods) e.t.c. And that is key to my game. Lol I'm so excited....I wish I could just hand you the cash right now. :p

    Not even ActiveDen, he can send us his PayPal address and we can buy the license right now. After that, we get a beta version. Like a pre-order! :)

    The new one (I think 2.0) is probably going to be for money, but 1.9 is free!

    the old one (0.95) will be free, but the new and greatly improved (1.0) version will take a shiny penny.

    I'v been following this for a while, and dont want to be negative about the release date,

    I'm a little concerned after all this time and effort if someone else pips you to the post and releases a similar kit on the asset store.

    I'v been really impressed with your work so dont think it would match the quality of what your working on, I just presume their are a lot of people like me just waiting to give you our money. and would hate to see you loose out to another product reaching market first.

    hope you get their soon mate

    @Retronamic Don't jump to conclusions :p. I just finished the package itself, and now all that's left is getting it ready for submission (documentation, images, etc).

    @The Voxyn I said it was close to done. The problem is that this isn't a full time job (and that documentation is time consuming).

    If I were to use this in a commercially released First Person Shooter and I put your name on the credits as (General Weapons Scripter) and (General Gameplay Scripter) would you be okay with it. I can give you royalty from the game or pay you before it's done if you want.

    Since potential customers already said that they would agree to purchase a beta version without documentation, i don't see a reason for not releasing it early. We can even sign something that states we agreed with that. Anyways, good luck releasing this on 2012.

    Gotta say. I love the weapons package! Thanks for the awesome work.

    I'm on unity 3.1 and I keep getting the following errors in the console...

    And this is running in the demo scene.

    Any idea how to solve this?

    Hi Jason,Is there a way to attach my own fps hand mesh and weapons while still keeping the animation.

    @sunny fernano Yes. You just need to deactivate the existing models,and child the parts of your model under the proper parts (hand child of hand, magazine child of magazine, etc). I sometimes do this to test out a model before animating it, although it's rare for the model to line up perfectly (especially on the reload).

    Recently i tried the flash export but i cannot export it cause it contains errors i tried to fix it but with no luck...:( Got any suggestions or ideas to fix the errors.. i will be extremely happy for it;);) to see what i mean try it yourself with unity 3.5 and dastardly banana 0.95................

    @blubrain - Now that 3.5 is out we'll test the flash export (and fix any problems) for the next update. Hopefully that will be within the next 1 1/2 weeks. We'll keep you updated.

    EDIT: fixed my problem, make sure you assign custom weapons their own muzzle flash, apparently :)
    was this ever made to support idle animations? or is that in the paid only version?

    hey i downloaded the free Weapons pack and when im going to pick up weapons it says pick up button not input i please help :)

    The 0.95 version remains free. We stopped developing it when we released the 1.0 version on the asset store but 0.95 is still available as a free download

    Hey @Gymhgy123 this asset does not seem to be supported any more but it does come across as very nice and I would like to use it for my next project. I plan to convert it to C#. I could send it to you if you want.
