Custom rendering - where to start?

    I have plenty experience with Unity, but in terms of custom rendering besides shaders I don't know much and I want to learn. It seems hard to find any learning resources on that though. I want to create my own renderer with custom shadows, custom lighting, maybe some decals, image effects. Where do I start?

    I think understand how SRP custom rendering features work, at least overriding object's or scene materials. I understand rendering passes. Beyond that it's a total mystery. How do people make image effects? Voodoo, as far as I know.

    Cold you maybe list concepts that I need to know that I can search? Thank you.
