    Hello!

I am using Sequences for a few atypical projects - atypical as they might be partly non-linear, procedural, etc.

One of the things I am curious about is knowing if creating a custom Asset Collection type is possible ?
The latest version of the documentation states in "Concepts and terminology":
By default, there are 7 types of Asset Collections:

Which sort of hints at a possible customisation...But I cannot really figure out how to do this.

I can see how I could hack something around CollectionType.m_Types but as it is readonly this is not an option.

Oh! That's good to know that the documentation makes it sounds it could be possible, cause it is not haha.

For now we stick to a fixed list waiting for feedback. So I guess you're our first feedback! We logged the request.
I will also forward the feedback to make the documentation clearer regarding that!

Could you tell us a bit more which kind of types you're lacking? Or if you which to mostly be able to rename them maybe? Or both? Or else?

And also, how import this feature would be to you?

    Thanks!

    Thanks for the quick reply!

To be honest it's not that important - but as a tool dev it would help me to adapt the workflow to our artists and integrators and make it more suitable for our projects.

A typical example is that we might have in-world UI in our sequences, and this kind of object does not really belong to any existing Asset Collection type.
