    Hi everyone! :)
I'm working on a new game called for Cursed Beliefs, and it's going to be a story-driven horror game based on intense instead of being "jumpscares". This video is made just to give a taste to people of what the game is going to be about! And also I wanted to test all the animations and scripts. I'd love to hear what you guys think, and please if you've got any criticism, let it be critical criticism so that I can improve! :)
    Hope you guys like it!

Hey man! the game atmosphere looks amazing(really, I'm not being polite), but i see there could be some problems with the gameplay, take for example Silent hill and Amnesia..

    Q: Which one is scarier?
    A: Amnesia(at least for me).

The main reason why this game is soo scary if because the fell of impotence, if you have a handgun the game is not likely to scare many people, you see, silent hill is scary until you got your hand gun/shotgun/machine-gun ready, and kills the enemy. In Amnesia you can't! that makes the most scary part.

This is a summary of the stuff that most scares me in a Game:

1-Sound: this is the most important thing, it creates immersion in the game, and the player feels like he is "living the nightmare". Make the test yourself, play an horror game without sound and you will not get scared at all.

2-Suspense: make your enemy unpredictable! if you can't predict where the enemy or event will show, you'll be alert along all the game, making it intense every seconds. Take for example Slender. If you can, please make the enemy move fast! and making ugly noises!

3-Impotence: If you can't defend yourself, your best bet is running and hiding, but if you want to add a gun to the game try to give the player as few bullets ad possible.

4-The atmosphere: I left this at the last point because, believe it or not, this is not what really scares people, but this is what will make your game looks interesting!. Try to add places where you got locked from a sudden, the lights starts flickering, they turn off and some sounds starts playing!.

And about the question of the thread, YES! make the game intense, the only reason I play an horror game is expecting it to be intense, not boring.

    Cheers! and good luck.

    you're welcome!
oh, some last hints about making monsters scarier:

-Don't give the creature too much screen time.
-A lack of eyes is scary
