Current Unity Multiplayer Situation

    So.......?? Is there any sort of roadmap or plan with Unity sourced multiplayer solutions?? It seems like they aren't exactly sure where they are heading and that 3rd party solutions are the best answers right now.

    Yes, there is a roadmap. Google „Unity Netcode Roadmap“ …

    At first I was hesitant to go down this road and roll my own, but after looking at NFG and a couple others, it seemed the right approach. I began last August and I quickly went from prototyping to production coding. I kept having this nagging feeling that I was reinventing the wheel, but this week after looking at how several AAA games handle certain use cases, that nagging ceased as I came to the conclusion that everyone does it differently by a country mile. There is no right way to do it, just a right way for them. And I believe you can imagine the benefits of rolling your own - you sit in the driver's seat and you control its roadmap and features list.
