Curly Hair Physics, Please Help Me

    Hello, Good Afternoon. I was making a female character for a game, as you can see in the image below:

    This is a High Poly Version, but in low poly, wich is arleady made, I only need to make the hair, for this process I'll use multiple mesh stripes, with a little bit of volume to make it really look like It is a curled hair, but something that I don't Even know how to do with flat hair is the physics for a Hair, having this stripes, witch I'll make only one stripe and the rest is a prefab copy, how can I do the physics for it, considering that the volume of the mesh has to be mantained, without the stripe mesh stretch and make it look too flat? Does the hair mesh have to be rigged? Can someone explain it to me, or send a tutorial for begginers in this kind of physics that will help me with this?
