    Hello there!
    What solutions are there to bring ads (e.g. AdMob) to Unity games? I've found an AdMob-plugin from Google, but this requires different setup for iOS/Android. And that of course this defeats the whole purpose of Unity, right?
    Also I don't see a reason why ads should be platform specific. All one would need is an internet connection to download the banners from. Am I missing something here?

    I'm not sure why Google does not offer something like this. I thought they were all about ads ;)

    I totally agree with VanKurt. Just last week, I was messing with the Admobs for my app, to get them to show in Android, and wondered why there isn't ads for my app in Webplayer and as a standalone too? Like he mentioned, it's just an internet connection needed! (Yes, it gets more specific, if desiring to appropriately display ads "tailored" for the user's preferences, etc, but at least you could have random ads available for all platforms, as a unity plugin, right? )

    Actually, I'm almost inspired to write my own plug-in now and start my own ads company... Hmmmmm....:mrgreen:

    Is there really nothing one can do about this?

    @jtok4j:

    Do you relay like to play a desktop game that has annoying advertising in it?
    I have seen very brutal replays form gamers the they they are feeling offended by the advertising on desktop games.

    For the Webplayer ... you have the website around the weplayer to place your adds , therefore you do not need ads inside your webplayer.

    Or maybe I'm just a nostalgic guy who do not like ads but thats a different story.

    For iOS and android, yes i think the plugins should be for both platforms and be very easy to integrate , so you do not have the hassle with there platform dependent problems.

    What plugins are you talking about? The Google plugin? I'm pretty sure this is NOT platform independent.

    any news on this, I'd find it hand to be able to setup adds for the webplayer inside unity (like for mobile) I'd like a system like Unity adds (displaying a full screen add at the start then let the user get on and play uninterrupted).

    Anyway has anyone found a add system for web player or standalone ??
