Sometime, some users ask me questions about HDRP/URP/SKYNET3D or others Unity delirium :) And i need to admit that i don't really see the real advantage of HDRP Vs Standard rendering...

But if peoples want to try HDRP with ease, here is my method:

    1) Create a HDRP pre-configured project with the Unity HUB

    2) In the Unity demo scene hide the group : "Example Assets"

    3) Import my package, if unity ask you something about a "package dependency" => Click NO

    4) Load my demo scene (from my package) => Identify in my scene the "_Level" group (example for my showroom 3)

    5) Drag it into your project window => To create un prefab of all the level

    6) Reload the Unity demo HDRP scene

    7) Drag the previously created prefab "_Level" into the scene

    8) Goto menu Windows => Render Pipeline => HD Render pipeline wizard

    9) In the window of the wizard click => Upgrade project materials to blablabla...

    10) Select the GPU lightmapper => Static ON the gameobject "_Level" => Compute lightmap

And you should get this... A correctly setuped env, to start the HDRP exploration, because this thing is hell to configure...

    Hey all!

In parallel of the Scifi 3 update, i'm working on a new kit prototype...

This kit will be created with a new conception approach! (it allow you to modify deeply the kit, for your needs). Those new technics force me to work differently... ( "trim texturing"),

I reviewed also my own scales... My VR helmet see me clearly that my 'units' was not good for the corridors/rooms height scale (too high).

Unfortunally it's not possible to adopt (fully) those new methods on the scifi kit 3 (because the objects/ textures need to be made differently) without redo many things...

I actually use (a bit...) this technics since the last third SFK 3 release (see: texture id number 20), but not fully for my great regret... But i'm like you, i learn with time!

It's not very easy for me to change my methods because they are different, but it allow you to get a kit with a very low set of texture! And you can change all colors you want, and create your own patterns! Via "decal normal" prefabs i'll provide!

Actually in greybox mode (checking the normal map quality / scales / texture pattern etc), do not ask me any release date... i'm testing! And if i redo a big kit, i want something more better than the 3!

But the render is cool Tested with the oculus quest 2 with link mode. I'm really happy to learn those methods, it push my skills, very up now! (Star Citizen !! I'll crush you one day!!)

    Happy Creepy Cat!

PBR Rendering fake scene, just to test my normal map and the metal maps new method, it's cool because i removed to 70% the unity (irritating) normal edge flickering with bloom or VR.... It take me 3 years tests to find this! :)
