Creating dust clouds!?

    Im trying to create an underwater scene which the player can move around on the seabed, to make it more realistic i want to have 'dust clouds' appear from the seabed when the player is running around the seabed.

    I have tried top recreate this using unity's particle system with little success, it seems to get an actual 'cloud' effect i would need thousands of particles which would slow down the system dramatically. Is there any tips on trying to acheive this effect? Basically all i want is a puff of dust to rise from the seabed! :D

    just raise quads slowly that fade out 1 meter from the sea bed. You don't need many.

    Hey hippocoder, thanks for your reply.

    Im sorry but i may need a little more help :) What do you mean when u say 'quads'? Is this a type of particle system or something different?! Sorry im just learning :D
