As new Unity3D 4.3 introduced amazing new 2D tools, however I didn't find out creating basic primitive 2D shapes in Unity3D like the ones available for 3D like Cube, Sphere, Capsule, Cylinder, Plane and Quad. Does anyone know if this option is available somewhere in Unity3D 4.3 for 2D shapes ? like Square, Circle and Ellipse ?

If these are not available, does any one know where is the suggestion box?

you can use the actual primitive types. as you working with 2D environment, they are gonna look like 2D objects. So dont worry. Since they have Z position the same as every object.

That's not a feature that exists, no.

This proposal marked as Completed, but I don't understand what really changed in editor and how to use it?

Yes, I'm wondering about this as well. Apart from the Line Rendered which can be used in a 2D setting - I really don't see anything approaching primitives for 2D
