    Hi,

First of all, thank you for working on a version of Unity3d for Linux :)

I have just installed build #2015101801 on Kubuntu 12.04 64 bits using the official installer for 64-bit Unbuntu Linux.

Besides other problems I have already seen in the forum (no keyboard available to input login information and the name of a new project, for instance) I have found a major issue with my configuration. Unity seems to crash every time I try to open a file browser dialog:
    - create a new project, click the ... to open the file browser, and it crashes.
    - with an open project, Assets > Import new Asset..., and it crashes
    - with an open project, File > Save Scene As..., and it crashes.
    - etc.
I have already sent the crash report (case 747287, that is a generalized version of case 747284).

If I can provide you with more details, I will be happy to do so :)

    Regards,

Update: it crashes in Fluxbox too (I installed it so I could login with my Unity account, as suggested in the forum)

This pattern usually indicates an issue with the local Gtk installation.
(and the provided stack trace does indicate that the crash is in gdk_pixbuf_new_from_stream_at_scale_async, about 50 frames deep into gtk_dialog_run)

Oh, if that is the problem then there is a workaround (something similar already happened to me with a couple of GTK applications, though most of them work flawlessly). In case someone finds this problem and reads this thread, the workaround I found is going to KDE System Settings > Application Appearance > GTK+ Appearance and choosing as "Widget style" Raleigh. Then you can launch Unity and the file dialogs will be working (although they will look prehist...ehh...classic). Other widget styles may work too (e.g. Clearlooks is working for me right now, and it is a little bit less "classic" :p).

Thank you for your help, now I can go on :)
