crash after level load

    After upgrading from 4.6.6p1 to 4.6.8p2, we are experiencing a crash after loading our game initialisation scene.

    I have tested 3 of our games, and we are experiencing this crash on 2 out of 3.

    I have attached screenshots of the crashes in Xcode.

    For builds done with older Unity versions (4.6.8p1, for example), where the crash does not occur, the next line in the log is something like:
    Code (csharp):
    1. Unloading 4 Unused Serialized files (Serialized files now loaded: 0 / Dirty serialized files: 0)
    2.  
    3. Unloading 3 unused Assets to reduce memory usage. Loaded Objects now: 1978.
    4. Total: 3.332166 ms (FindLiveObjects: 0.203666 ms CreateObjectMapping: 0.051583 ms MarkObjects: 2.582083 ms  DeleteObjects: 0.056000 ms)
    This, along with the screenshots, seems to indicate that the crash is happening when Unity attempts to free up memory after the scene load.

    Does anyone know what the problem might be?

    It's a known issue with 4.6.8p2, which is unfortunate since it solves the iOS 9 font issues.

    There is a new patch 4.6.8p3 (in beta, but downloadable from the thread linked in the previous post) which fixes the issue.

    The official version is on the patch releases page today. I'm running into an IL2CPP crash with it though in Reflection code. Hopefully doesn't impact you but this doesn't appear to work for us.
