Hello, I'm a Unity and UE developer, and I work with a lot of software (Blender, Visual Studio, work time, Cinema 4D, Chrome, etc.), and it seems like I need a better setup for the upcoming UE5. Here's what I currently have:

    CPU - Intel i5 8400f
    RAM - 16gb Corsair 3200 MHz
    GPU - Nvidia Palit 1070

I'm planning to upgrade with my next salary, but where to start? CPU, RAM, or GPU? Help! I'm trying to avoid bottlenecks. Regards.

Got an SSD? They make a huge difference to anything that involves reading or writing data.

Otherwise, you'll need to tell us what's slow.

Well then, I'd save that cash and/or put it towards a project you're working on.

    Why not add more RAM....

However, if nothing is slow, then you don't need to upgrade anything.

Then wait till more people have experience with it and ask those what UE5 needs to run well. Other than RAM I wouldn't upgrade anything on your system right now.

Figure out where your biggest bottleneck is and upgrade that. The profiler can help as far as Unity.
