Couldn't resolve host name - license

I get "Couldn't resolve host name" when I start Unity3d for the first time. It shows the license activation dialogue but I am unable to proceed, and clicking OK closes out of Unity3d.

I posted a bug report with the subject "License"

 

I'm unable to do so, the editor refuses to launch. If I click OK on the dialog then the whole thing closes. If I move it aside and click Free trial then I get a small loading icon which freezes partway. I left that open for a while but nothing further happened.

 

That was it, google analytics was blocked in the hosts file.
Thank you, I had no idea it would even be trying to connect to that.

Does anyone know exactly how to activate manually? I cannot find the files they are asking for, and I really have no idea how to solve this problem. Please help, i'm very new at this.

 

Thank you, the problem i'm running into is that I cannot find Manage License within the editor, I feel like i'm doing this completely wrong.

Do not worry about the Analytics or internet troubles, all you got to do is simply get back the Manual Activation Window by going offline.
