I know there are a few forums on this issue, but I haven't been able to solve my problem so far. I found that a lot of the people suggest things I've already tried.

I am working with a Nexus 5 running on 4.4.3.

    On my computer:
    - I have the Android SDK Installed and routed correctly through Unity
    - Google USB Drivers are up to date through SDK Manager
    - Android SDK Tools and Android SDK Platform Tools are up to date through SDK Manager
    - I tried to run adb under sdk>platform tools>adb to see if my device was recognized but it runs through a whole bunch of script and closes very quickly so I can't tell...
    - I can see "Nexus 5" on the side panel under "Local Disk" upon opening Computer so it's definitely connected

    On my phone:
    - USB Debugging is enabled
    - Use Mock Locations is enabled
    - Unknown Sources under Security is checked

I click "Build and Run" and Unity goes through the process until halfway through when it can't locate my device. I just don't know what to do any more!

    From the terminal/command prompt run
    adb devices
to see if it recognizes your device

Navigate to sdk>platform tools>adb in the Command Prompt, then run the command.

    Thank you,

Here is what I got back:
    "
x daemon not running. starting it now on port 5037 x
    x daemon started succesfully x
    List of devices attached

    C:\Users\...
    "

Looks like it hasn't found my Nexus!

Having the same issue with a Samsung, did you ever solve this?

I got mine working by manually updating the driver to my device via Control Panel and choosing 'Let Me pick...', then selecting the Android device driver.
