Could not show banner due to No fill for placement

    Absolutely incredible that zero evident progress has been made since the origin of this thread. Only option now is to consider mediation with another ad provider - and if you're going to pursue this method, you might as well do it for all of your ads (not just the banners) so you can actually reach your payout threshold.

    From our side, we do see a lot of progress on banners, but we still have a long way to go.

    As I mentioned last time, for banners I would recommend investigating other options. Unity Ads is supported in all of the top mediation platforms, and many do have support for our banner ads:

    I guess I should've used AdMob

    One additional update for banners. This may not resolve the issue for anyone, but it was mentioned to me as a possibility so I thought I'd pass it along.

    Many of our banner advertisers will only bid into games that have implemented the app-ads.txt file correctly. This file is a standard that has been developed over the last few years to combat fraud and create transparency in the advertising market.

    After app-ads.txt added.. "No fill for placement" still happened.

    If Unity can't provide banner ads then why are they supporting it officially and documenting it everywhere. Very disappointed after going through all the integrations and testing just to discover at the end that banner ads inventory is too low to be fulfilled. :(:(:(:(:(:(:(

    11.10.2021 Yes, very frustrating! I set up my app-ads.txt correctly and still get no banner ads getting the Error loading Unity banner ad: Placement failed to fill! That is very annoying and unprofessional to claim that Unity could offer Ads while it is obviously not working at all :(

    All the Unity SDK and help documentation implies Banner Ads are working. And it works in test.

    There is then a disgraceful disregard for the developers effort in trying to get this work.
    If this hasn't worked (for years) then mention it at least in your SDK!

    (How am I to have confidence in other offerings I've not tried, like LiveOps or Multiplayer when there are traps like this laying around ...)

    Not working here. My game is live, app-ads working correctly.. no banner ads... interesting how this cant be fixed...

    This is happening to me with normal rewarded ads... wth ???
    is it happening to anybody else ?

    Hi, I have the same issue with rewardedVideo and StartAds to. Both was worked in test mode in Unity Editor, appropriate communicate appear.

    However when I build an app on phone the compiler says that Error loading Ad Unit rewardedVideo: NO_FILL - Placement receives no fill in EVRY case.
    I upload add-app.txt to website, update ads package, set google play store id, no mistake with Game ID, ad delivery enabled, test mode was overriden to real ads and unchecked the test mode (project settings -> services -> ads).
    Still the same message, no real ads, nothing...

    I am also here for the same problem, and I followed all the steps described in the developer's guide. I wasted my time implementing Unity Ads Banners and then the banners don't work.

    Same error, using ads 3.7.5 ( because 4.4.0 is throwing errors )

    And same here. It is 2023, banner ads are not working on Android/iOS when testing mode is off.
    (No fill for placement)

    Hi, we have since suggested the developer migrate to using Unity LevelPlay in the future. It should provide a better fill rate for banners through the mediation networks.

    Can you add other ad networks in your Unity LevelPlay configuration, and monitor if you can get a better fill for the banner?
