    Also worth noting is that they reduced the silly requirements: now your game only has to fulfill 3 out of the 5 constraints...

    Or you can do like I would: Turn up for the sheer hell of it and just ignore them completely if the game you intend to make is too far away. The atmosphere alone will be worth it.

    Another point: the registration fee is under US$45 or €35, and pretty much all of it goes towards decent food and sodas.

    But then, some participants elect not to sleep during the 48 hours the game-jam lasts :)

    do you arrive, mingle and then split out in "random" groups or do you have a group and concept when you arrive?

    That's really up to you. There'll probably be a 30 min "matchmaking" session for people who don't have groups.

    Last year it was a 50-50 mix of people who knew in advance they wanted to work together and people who didn't
