Bleeding? You mean bled and dried? I guess what you are saying is that the blood needs to be darker?

a skeleton like that must've been there for years. Blood must've gone by that time. Either put a body or remove the blood.

nevertheless, excellent graphics dude. keep it up.

    Hi all,

Here are a few images of my current project.

I'm making a video game about the shadowy world of international espionage. Set in the near future - it is a James Bond \ Jason Bourne world of rogue agents, secret plans and intelligence gathering operations.

With the main emphasis on realism - not just in terms of the graphics, but also the mission objectives that the hero (or heroin) must complete - the player invokes skills like stealth, problem solving, exploration and various surveillance techniques.

The software tool-set for this project includes: Blender, GIMP, Vue and Unity (Free Edition).
You can watch the game evolve before your eyes at my blog site here:
    http://patricksworkjournal.blogspot.com/

    Stay tuned,

    Patrick.

Hi Adrian. It's more like a proof of concept for a project that's about virtual reconstruction of historical places.

    Thank you~
But in fact,it is easy to do a better game view in unity if you got a good game artist and you did't care the other people's pc's performance(in my scene,i only got 30fps with 1920*1200 on my HD4850 1G).
I think there must be some people have done it already.
    Good luck~

    @DerWoDaSo:

Good work with the skin shader. I tried the webplayer and it looks nice.
Is it a straight up implementation of the GPU Gems 3 version (Texture spaced diffusion) or the GPU Pro with screen spaced diffusion?

Im currently implementing the screen space version myself, but I might do the texture spaced version too. Its a really good model too, very high quality.

    Thanks! :)

@Peter: Its based on the GPU Gems 3 version, but modified for performance reasons. But texture space diffusion is not good for performance anyway... I have a screen space implementation (I have to post that on my blog the next days), which runs much better without visible UV seams, etc.

Thats cool. My screen space version is almost finished too. I might try to improve on it later, as there are some obvious drawbacks and limitations to screen space too. Other diffusion methods could also be of interest ofcause, such as Wang et al who has used the diffusion equation to do some really cool stuff. The company I work for currently has a student working with that. If you are interested I can post results to you.

At Siggraph 2010 there were a very interesting talk by Naughty Dog
on Character Lighting and Shading in Uncharted. I definately recommend anyone interested in this topic to get the slides available at:

    http://advances.realtimerendering.com/s2010/

PS: I dont want to highjack this great gallery thread, so lets open a new gossip thread if we want to discuss this further.

The first real (and probably useable) terrain generator I've made for my game. Each terrain takes about 5 seconds (4.5 of which are spent on the actual terrain, not on heightmaps. I need to improve it) at 256x256.
At 512x512 takes about 23 seconds - 20~ on the generating the actual terrain polygons. I plan a 512x512 to be 16x16km big.

A lot of variables I can play with so it's not final, but I'm content on the scale and how it looks when viewed from player's perspective. There's flatland, mountains, and rivers.
One of the proud features of it is it's very easy to scale. It's shape will stay the same regardless of how many pixels it has. It has a single variable that controls how many meters each pixel is. I've learned a lot, and I can finally begin on more advanced things.

If you have any questions on this, feel free to PM me. I won't provide the full source, but wouldn't mind helping someone out with their trouble.
