Convert Grayscale to normal map for Mac

    You do know about the import settings for textures, right?
    Unity can do the heightmap -> normal map conversion automatically for you on import. Including generating all the mip levels correctly, even with multiple filters for generating the normal map.

    Yes, I do (it's wonderful), but for those who need to convert for whatever reason, there it is! :)

    this should be very useful, thanks ; )

    for me personally i think this is will be handy because i'd like to edit my normal maps (first generated in 3d in blender) to have some noise type detail that's too time consuming to model but would be easy to paste in areas from a detailed texture that's "normalized".
