Video Controlling the frames of a video using a slider

Hi im currently doing a project on Non destructive testing ultrasound in VR.
I plan on implementing ultrasound testing but im not sure on how to sync up the video of the scan to the position of the probe in the scene. The probe itself will only move in a straight line so i thought of maybe using a slider. Does anyone know how to control the video frames with a slider?
