Controlling BlendShapes with animation and code

    I've got a skinned mesh with 8 blendshapes, 6 of them are animated as actions with blender. On the same mesh I'd like to control the remaining 2 blendshapes with script. Should that be possible? When the animation is playing, I can't seem to control those 2 blendshapes (either in code or in unity editor). When I turn the animator off, I can.

    Any thoughts?

    Check the animation window(not the animator) inside unity, maybe there is some key in the exported fbx animation driving the blendshapes.
