Question controlling backlights of midi controller

I am developing an application that uses a midi controller as an input device.
The midi controller has a built-in backlight in the pad, and the backlight indicates the on/off status.
However, when I assign control to the midi controller pad in unity, the backlight does not turn on. (The control works fine.)
Is there any way to control the backlight of the pad in unity?

What controller are you using? I made a piece of open-source software that runs in between the controller and application like Unity to control the lights on devices. Hoooopefully has support for yours. if not, I'm working to support more! https://supercontroller.net/
