Contactpoint normal vs raycast hit normal

I was trying this with collisions first, but I only need a collision at the bottom of my character so tried to use a raycast instead but the normal does not return the same?

index 0 seems to return something like 0.0,0.5,-0.8 in my case.

Returns 0,1,0 in the same situation?

 

Mh okay seems like something was going wrong with the length of my raycast...
