Is there a way to connect Daydream controller directly to Unity? (via Bluetooth or USB)

I have Nexus 6p and as we know it's not DD ready so I can't even develop games. Which is stupid because with 'Instant Preview' you don't even run game on the phone - you just stream it from computer!

    Emulator is not an option.

    1. I have actual controller
    2. Emulator doesn't emulate clicks - only taps (controller has both click and tap)
I wish google separated controller from Daydream. It's a new way of interaction with a game! Just like a mouse. Where DD headset is cumbersome drag for performance-ready phones. It's not even that good anyway.

    1. Ok
    2. I am pretty sure that double tap on emulator will act as click so you can use that for now if suits you.

In the Controller Emulator on your phone you can use "Switch to Real Controller" in the menu and then you will be using the real controller, not the phone screen, so control the Unity Editor when running your game. If your phone does not support Daydream this may not work, but worth a try.
