Confused with windows phone development

    Hello everyone,

    I have a doubt regarding game deployment on windows phone

    Is it necessary to use Visual Studio 2013 only for windows phone 8.1. Can't we use 2015 version of visual studio.

    You can use VS2015. Just you have to select these components manually, as they are not installed by default.

    When you install Vs2015, it will ask you whether you want typical installation, or custom. Typical installation does not contain Windows Phone 8.1 SDK. If you choose custom, you'll get to choose all Visual Studio components that will be installed on your PC. You have to check Windows Phone 8.1 SDK if you want to use VS2015 to develop Windows Phone 8.1 apps.
