Confused by the roadmap page

    The top group of cards doesn't have a heading. I initially thought the heading below was for this group but looking at other roadmap pages, the heading definitely goes above a section. See https://portal.productboard.com/unity/1-unity-graphics/tabs/7-shader-graph (the design should really make this clearer in any case)

    So - it looks like the top group is unnamed and the second group is "Release - Beta". In which case - where are they? I grabbed the latest alpha and there's no sign of position or normals in VFX graph shaders.

    Other roadmaps are much clearer. For each card they tell you the exact Unity version and package version where that feature is available.

    Hey @VladVNeykov - any chance of some clarification here?

    I'm just trying to understand how your roadmap page works as it's different to how the Shader Graph team are using it.

    Hey @andybak,

    For VFX the ones on top are the released ones (and yeah, it looks like they are missing a header) and the Release - Beta ones are pretty much done, but the PRs need to land (don't think they are available publicly yet, I think they should get a comment on them once they are available in a public package, judging by some URP cards in the same category).

    But yeah, you're right, it's a bit confusing. I'll ping our Product Managers once we're all back from the holidays to see if we can have these aligned across the different features. Thanks for the feedback!

    p.s. not to tease, but the VFX vertex/normal SG addition is so much fun, looking forward to it landing so you can give it a try :D

    @VladVNeykov I think it's just landed in 2021 beta.

    Is that example scene you posted the gif from available anywhere?

    Exciting stuff. I have a crazy idea about emulating mesh rendering with particles and the missing bit of the jigsaw was being able to draw arbitrary triangles.

    My mistake. The new stack output system confused me. You can add position to a VFX shader in 11.0 but it doesn't appear to be functional yet

    Yup, don't think the PR has landed yet.

    Once the feature lands, we can probably clean up the scene and add it to the VFX samples project.
