I'm working on a project with someone using collaborate, I understand that everyone working on the project requires a seat for the asset they are using. What I don't understand is what are we expected to do with the assets that one of us don't have seats for, do we just not use them or one person that doesn't have it delete the folder? Also if only one person has a seat for the asset can we have it in the project still if only one of us is using it? Would like to clear up this confusion if I can so we can continue to work on the project, if anyone can help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

For extension assets which are per seat, either everyone on the project has a license each, or you don’t use them on the project at all.

Another question, though you might know. If another member of the collaborate project unity team has an asset that's single entity but was purchased from a different organization, can they import that said asset into the project to be used by all members?

That, I do not know actually and the concept of single and multi entity is kinda new, so I'm not up to date with those.

I believe for "extension" assets that it used to be to simply have enough licenses between all the accounts in the project (so one account could potentially have multiple seats for an asset, while another one has none, and overall you would be "fine", again that's as I understood it). With the same reasoning, as long as one account on the team had a seat for a "per entity" (or whatever it was called) asset, then that would also be fine.

I do not know if these are still valid, or what changed now that concepts of Single Entity / Multi Entity and buying assets into an organization are introduced.

You could ask Unity's legal or asset store people. They might take a while, but they will respond.
