I'm new to Unity3D. I read the documentation on how you can export your base model with any animations and export all of the different animations as different models using the @ naming scheme. When I do this though, it still thinks each model is a separate file? For example; my base file is called Hunk.fbx, I named the idle animation to Hunk@_Idle_.fbx. The animated Idle file plays perfectly in the preview window at the bottom, but how do you link them all? The docs say its supposed to do it automatically as long as you use the correct @ name scheme but it doesn't.

I should note that my model doesn't use any bones, skeleton, or rig, only a keyframe based animation which like I said does play fine in Unity's preview window. Though could that have something to do with it?

    Using 3ds Max 2014.

I should also note that there is no way for me to save all the animations on one keyframe in Max as it breaks the orientation of the parts of the model. They must be separate...
