I just noticed this settings after installing 2017.2.0b9 Beta. When was this added to Unity? And are there any guides or manual of what it does + any compatibility note?

I am currently assuming this reduces the app download size at the cost of longer uncompress time after downloading the app. The performance of the game remains the same. But it would helps if I can read the official documents from Unity.

Also curious about this. Does anyone know what this does exactly?

I don't know what these compression methods are classified by, but it is not always true , from my testing LZ4HC(android) is super slow , unusable , LZ4HC(iOS) is working great . Therefore, it is better to test all 3 compression methods before publishing.
