Compiler Error

    Hello, this is probably a really dumb question, but I am new to Unity, so bear with me.

    Whenever I start Unity, and try to enter playmode, it tells me "all compiler errors need to be fixed before you can enter playmode." I have looked into the console and inspected the files listed inside my Windows file browser but nothing seems to work. Can someone help?

    can you post a screenshot of the console? (maybe error messages are disabled?)

    try re-installing unity (seems to be common solution for that error)

    Thank you. I'll contact you if it doesn't work. Also, I have un and reinstalled it before, but because it crashed.

    Hi,

    Can someone help me with this problem too?

    I tried reinstalling unity but still the same error.

    I eventually got this resolved, but I forgot how.

    I believe it was to do with MonoDevelop.
