thedaemon , congrats best wishes.
@neodrop: I was just wondering... Why would you enter the contest if you already had unity pro? It does not seem fair to basic users that half the prizes were claimed by pro users
fingers crossed that i get picked!
its to late now
Why is it not fair? He paid a lot of money for the first Unity Pro. Why should this exclude the right for him to participate in contest to win additional license. I am sure that he will find a good use for it.
Yes... I know, but it seems to me like basic users need it more then pro users do.
Well, there is three quick reasons :
I like win
I need Android PRO
I have a lot friends, who need a Unity PRO
More, or enough ?
I hope that my late entry counts...
I guess those are fair reasons... But still. Even if you entered and won to give it to your friend then you are giving your friend 2 chances at getting it... I cant afford something like that in my dreams and this was my only hope of getting pro. And to find out that 2 people entered and won who already had unity pro was kind of annoying.
I dont mean any offense to you sorry if it sounded like that.
LOL I wonder if this is a yearly thing? or just once?
i think yearly would be cool
I still do agree that it would be perhaps fairer if the rules were a bit clearer or better defined as to who can participate, ie only people who do not currently have a pro license. After all, when Unity says `hey, do this and you can with a free copy of Unity Pro`, they're really focussing on the impressiveness of Unity and how people would like to have a copy... which basically applies to people who DON'T have a copy already, even though it is unstated. Fair game to the winners, who all have cool projects, and I'm just sour-graping 'cus I didn't win even though I entered all four contests ;-) *pouts*
Also giving it to your friends `cus you don't need it` isn't really fair either and invalidates the value of the prize. THEY didn't enter the competition. ;-)
Anyway. Where is the final result?
I'm hoping I'm gonna win
Having Unity Pro would add so much to my indie project.
Impatiently refreshing the site a few times a day
OMG I just found out! there is a still a chance for me!!! yipeeeeee!! best of luck everyone!
Congrats to all the winners, can't wait to see your products, wish i would have won but at least I have tax season.
You can still win you know!
congrats to all the winners and may you enjoy pro
any news on the last winner???
I think the last winner is already posted.
Congratulations devin_wilson! It will be interesting to see a game using cloth physics!
it is now -
"In 2011 I will use cloth physic dynamics to create a Arabic magic carpet physics puzzle platformer." @Devin_Wilson
Yup, I think the idea is mine. Check out my tweets (@dacosi) but I sort of posted more than one entry. Guess my idea wins but I did not win anything huh? Btw, I try to contact both Devin and unity3D about this a day ago. To no avail....
If it's your idea you should definitely win!
Alright, I got to do the Unity3D guys justice here. They sorted the whole mix-up and I got the license from them. Million thanks, guys. I simply adore you guys! Now onto that game then.
Pro Trial Version ;o)
I'm forgotten :
Antares Universe - the visual logic editor. I have told about it when I won this competition.
sorry I missed this, I hope you do another!
Yes. Already created. Just a some market works yet.
