I was having a problem with tags in my editor so I hoped the new update may have fixed the problem. Updated to the current version 2020.1.2f1. Now, whenever I try to open a script(Visual Studio 2017) it just gives me this notification. How can I fix this? If there is no solution to this can I downgrade and fix the errors manually?

Edit: A temporary fix for this is:
1-Change the external script editor to "Open by file extension".
2- Go into your project folder and open the "Projectname".sln

I am teaching a class of 14 students and we use Unity 2020.1.1f1 and Visual Studio community 2019 on all windows10 machines.
Four of the machines give the comintegration.exe has stopped working-error. No solution found yet. Could someone please tell me how to fix this?
