Comic Book Shader

    Hi guys.

    First post here.

    I recently started writing shaders for Unity and just wanted to show my progress in an old idea I've been working on of a comic book shader that could work in real time. Still not very beautiful, but yet making quite the effect.

    I'm having problems specially with the outline border, that I made having a front cull of the geometry and scaling it in normal directions in a previous pass. The thing is that this outline seems to float away when the geometry is too small (like in the eye and the nose). Any idea on how to approach this?

    This will probably raise more questions than it answers:



    But this video taught me ALOT about how to properly acheive effects like this in an engine, if I am to take what they say into account your problem is the tip of the iceberg with solely shader based approaches.
