Color Lookup not allowing point filtering of the LUT texture in URP

    The Color Lookup effect in URP post processing doesn't allow the LUT texture to be point filtered. It did in Unity 2019.2 however. This is one of the main reasons I don't want to use unreal engine. Up until now, it was much easier to achieve limited retro effects in Unity. The option to point filter the LUT texture should not be taken away because it allows for better retro palette effects with fewer colors on screen. This allows artists an easy way to create a very specific palette of colors and transfer them to the screen without any linear interpolation between colors. It results in color banding, which when blended with dithering patterns, has the potential for many cool graphic styles. A good way to modify a neutral LUT in this way is through the index color mode in photoshop and choosing custom palette. Here are some examples of post effects using a specified limited palette...
