    Hi all

We should start a list of all the Unity games either on or soon to be on Steam GreenLight. This way we can support and promote each other.

I will start with our game Red Crucible 2.

You need to have an account, otherwise the vote button won't be there.

I think they also require you to buy something on Steam? Now keep in mind that a game to be considered it would need at least a few hundred thousand votes, sounds like a sneaky way for Steam to make some major $$$$.

Hardly. It's mostly meant for people who already have an account with at least one game. After all people who have no games on steam most likely aren't the target audience for new games greenlight presents.
Even then, you can get a game for as cheap as $1 during humble bundle sales. That's if you're really cheap. There are games under $5 on steam, buy one and get access to voting.

It cost $100.00 to submit a game now and it might not get voted in!

"Now keep in mind that a game to be considered it would need at least a few hundred thousand votes"
In that case I don't think there is a chance for my game but still here is link:
    http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=93017812&tscn=1347240180

It is free and feedback is mostly positive but it is only 90 current favorites so far so chances are slim. Anyway my game was never meant for popularity (when I submitted it to Union it took them like 5 minutes to reply with "no" answer) but I hope our votes will help you guys. Both games looks good comparing to many other Greenlight entries so I think there is a chance! Good luck guys!

Did you read this somewhere or is this your opinion? I've not found anything about number of votes needed, so please share if you have this info :)

You can see the $ 100 as advertising/marketing expense if you don't get on Steam.
Plus Greenlight also gives you some good feedback on your game if you ignore all the troll comments.

Last year we released a fun and quirky holiday game called Santa's Special Delivery. It's an arcade style game where you have to deliver presents to good boys and girls, and crap down the chimney's of the bad children. This year we're bringing it back with a bunch of polish and new features like boss battles.

And - we're bringing it to Steam! We posted Santa game to Steam Greenlight last week and hit 41% to top 100 in less than 5 days! We would really appreciate any and all additional Yes votes we could get to help get it closer to top 100 before December!

Have you tried adjusting the camera position so they player is more centered? I think that would greatly improve the visual experience. Just move it down about 4 inches or something because right now you're like looking at the bottom of the screen a lot of the time.

    Hey guys,

i think this thread is not a really good idea because of two reasons:
The first one is that some games might not get the attention they deserve because they are at the bottom of the page even if they are new.
The second reason is that we can not write some comments or questions to a specific game, it would become a little mess.
In my opinion it would be better if every game gets its own thread with the tag [greenlight].
I´m interrested in your work, thats why i write this lines so don´t missunderstand me ;)

    Good luck for you guys!!!
(I´ve already got one game through Greenlight, so if someone has a question just ask me)

I posted mine in a separate thread too.

So far (after 2 days), I have had 619 unique visitors, 481 total votes. 151 Yes, 314 No, and remainder "ask me later".

Also it says, 18% to the top 100 rank (but I read that doesn't really matter).

I also read that the ratio of yes-to-no votes is what really matters.

Can you tell me how long until you were greenlit? Also, should I be discouraged by a 60% no votes? Or is it too early to say?

@khos yes it is the one in the sig and in a couple of days we can show you something of the overworked version. After greenlight we did a lot to make the game the best we can :)

    @blueLED
First of all: Good luck ;)

In our case the top 100 graphs were changing all the way through and were no orienntation. o_O

But the yes to no ratio is a good indicator. I mean in your case:
    Yes 1:2 No
Imagine you have a grocery store and someone stands infront of your store and asks people if they would buy his product (a lamp for example :D) and one out of three people would say yes. You would ask him if you can sell this lamp for him or?

So i think thats the point. Steam sells everything in games and no game can attract everyone, but 33% is pretty good i would say :)

    You must be nervous :D

We needed two weeks for Greenlight.

I´ll take a look at your game at steam :)

That's a good way to put it. In that case, it should be a sell-able product.

    Thanks for the encouragement!

Hi, what the stats show is completely different to what paying customers actually do, customers on steam are not very forgiving! Anyway, it's weird, why can't I see this text that commented on, in any reply:
