   Might be out of scope for the Unity Localization, but is there an internal or external tool that can go through a japanese XLIFF file and output a list of unique characters? This will help me to make a minimal sized font asset for TextMeshPro.

   If you import the xliff into a string table then you can generate a character set https://docs.unity3d.com/Packages/com.unity.localization@1.3/manual/StringTables.html#character-sets
