collab checking for change is much slower in 2018.4.25 than in 2017

    Hi @laurentlavigne, did you happen to record the times it took for Checking for Changes to finish using 2018.4.25 and whichever version of 2017 you're using? Are you using the same version of Collaborate as well? Are the projects otherwise identical, aside from which version you are loading them in?

    No sorry
    current unity version: 2018.4.25, previous: 2017.4.40
    Projects are not identical because of prefabs, scripts were updated, assets are identical

    I understand. If you could user a stopwatch to measure how much time each session of checking for changes takes between each Unity version then it will help us see just how noticeable the difference is.

    about 10" in 2017
    30" in 2018

    That is fairly significant. I would recommend opening a ticket with our Support team so that they can investigate it further.
    You can do that by doing the following:

    1. Navigate to project on the Developer Dashboard.
    2. Select Collaborate > Support from the left hand menu.
    3. Click on Open a Ticket and fill out the support form.

    Navigate to your project's dashboard page. On the left-hand side you should see a Collaborate section, where the Support tab can be found.

    ok i needed to press settings>project settings> general project settings :confused:
    service is a bit of a maze
    anywayz i opened a support ticket
