It's been quite a while between updates, so here's the latest.

Coldfire Keep is very close to completion. I hit some pretty significant delays while we had some artists creating all of the creature models for the game, but most of that is done now and I'll be putting everything in soon and rebalancing the game. That "time off" resulted in Requiem Z, which was a fun little project that taught me some good lessons.

I'm really looking forward to getting Coldfire Keep out there for folks to play. Here's a few random screenshots from the current build (captured on an iPhone 5):

Looks amazing Steve, I've actually had this post bookmarked since you posted it!

I never registered an account and just always lurked, but now that I'm registered I'd like to say this project is absolutely amazing!

I love everything about it, and I wish you the best of luck with it.

Coldfire Keep is complete! The game was submitted to Apple a few days ago. Now awaiting approval.

    Here's the official trailer:

I can't wait to get my hands on this for sure, I've been waiting, and finally! I'm pretty excited to pick this up and will write you a full review.

How did you go about actually doing the "grid" like movements and such?

It's actually pretty easy to do that stuff. Your floor tile size determines the distance that you need to move. You simply place your player in the centre of a tile, and then move forward/backward/etc by the tile width using some sort of lerp. So if your scale is 1x1 on the floor tiles, your origin is 0.5 and you move to 1.5, if that makes sense. Turning is just rotating 90 degrees.

That is really awesome. Since you asked above, my only suggestion would be to make the turn left/right arrows curved arrows pointing to the left and right. As it is in the P.O.C. they are diagonal arrows. Minor thing but I remember some of the old school games had it with curved arrows. Other than that I thought what you have here looks really polished.

Just a couple of updates in the world of Coldfire Keep...

The game is part of the IndieGala bundle this week, so if you have a couple of spare dollars, grab the bundle and enjoy!

Also, Coldfire Keep is now available on Amazon for the upcoming Fire phone.

    Exciting times :)

If anyone is interested, Coldfire Keep is 75% off on Steam this week: http://store.steampowered.com/app/296530/

And so this isn't just a shameless plug, I'll share that dropping your price to something ridiculous for a week DOES seem to be a good strategy for getting a significant number of units shipped. The "Weeklong Deal" puts you in a list that's linked to from the front page... quite handy.
