It seems that there isn't support for cloud build with HoloLens, is this a fact or am I just missing something?
Do you guys suggest any alternatives to Cloud Build to automate builds of unity hololens apps?

    thanks!

    Hi,

Is the cloud build now available for HoloLens or is there a ETA?

    Best,

Unfortunately they're still not supported and I don't have any information as to when they're expected to come online. It is on the roadmap but I just don't have any information as to when they're planning to implement that. Sorry for the bad news.

still no news on UWP support? seems a bit pointless having cloud build currently given no hololens or windows MR support...

Is UWP support such as for hololens coming? would be nice to be able to use all the features we pay for, currently cloud build would be the best service we own for hololens except we cannot use it...

There's no ETA or timeline for Hololens support in the Cloud Build service just yet. It is a roadmap item and a recurring request for Cloud Build, but there's unfortunately nothing to announce at this point.

currently the only way around this for those interested is to have Unity running in headless mode on a seperate pc, and then to have a bat file or something similar activate over the network to start this process up. Once that is done, it will build and deploy as normal. If you set up your VS configuration to be in release and deploy remotely via wifi/usb, and dedicate a specific hololens per "build pc" set up this way, you should be able to more or less automate your build and deploy process.

Not exactly frictionless I know but its better than nothing!

Really need this! US Army just invested $480mil into HoloLens and the HoloLens 2 is coming out. We could really use Unity Cloud Build support! Please?

Democratic voting for features was "disabled" indefinitely. Bad move.....

Hololens 2 should definitely have a Cloud Build option! Would be useful even without automatic Visual Studio building.

We set up our own Jenkins for it.
US mil has now invested $21.9 BILLION (USD) into MS HoloLens 2 (IVAS)
    https://www.cnbc.com/2021/03/31/microsoft-wins-contract-to-make-modified-hololens-for-us-army.html

Unfortunately I'm sure military won't want to use Unity's cloud build.
It was questionable for us even because we couldn't get answers on build and data retention policies.
    So Jenkins it is.
And I see why Unity's avoided it. The build process is unstable at best. Takes forever for our small projects even. Unity builds are the bottleneck in our dev.
