19737: Attempting to return legacy license
19738: No legacy license to return. Exiting
    19739: Finished: FAILURE

The usual Unity BS where I try to work, and it sets me and my team back.

Why are we paying for Unity services again?

The no license to return is just an output on our part as we clean up our builders. There is some other issue further up in the log that is causing the issues and the true reason for failures. If you could provide context on the errors that were output prior to that message we may be able to help. You can also file a support ticket for additional help.

No, the issue was on Unity's end, as per usual. It turned out the 37f1 version was failing for everyone on cloud (For those set to latest 2020.3.x). Switching back a version to 2020.3.36f1 worked.

How are you guys not aware of this? Someone posted the issue and workaround here:

If you could open up a support ticket we can dig into why your build, and potentially others are failing on 2020.3.37f1. The projects I have configured in UCB are able to run on 2020.3.37f1 which is why we need the support ticket to do more digging.

Shouldn't you guys be proactive about failing builds? It's especially easy as people have given you a heads up, even if no support ticket was involved.

Support tickets are traditionally not necessarily required for breaking errors in a live service where it's important that the information gets delegated quickly. They are a great tool for more specific problems, but if a deployment on your side has failed shouldn't you guys scramble to fix it without asking for a support ticket once the information has reached you?

I mean there should be a degree of diligence involved when running a live service.
