City Trade: A Turn Based City Building Warfare Game

    Who Am I?

    I am Stephan, 12 years old, and i live in the Netherlands
    This is my first officially released game.
    I am a Unity jack-of-all-trades, i am best at scripting and have made several small games with unity.


    The Game
    City Trade is a turn based game about village building, trade and warfare.
    It's mainly aimed at 1v1 local play, but i think about adding enemy AI in the future.

    There are 5 types of resources:
    -Ore: Obtained from mountains using a Mine (needs to be placed near mountains). Mainly military, although it's needed for some buildings.
    -Wheat: Obtainen from a Farm. Needed for proper functioning of buildings, decreases every turn depending on the amount of houses.
    -Wool: Obtained from a Sheep Cage. Needed for units and some buildings.
    -Wood: Obtained from a Woodcutter hut (needs to be placed near forests). Needed for every building exept defenses.
    -Brick: Obtained from a Clay Bakery (needs to be placed near rivers). Used for most buildings, roads and defensive structures.
    You also need sufficient population for every building to work. Population is increased by building houses.

    I made all assets by myself except the forest ground texture.:cool:
    Updates

    v0.1
    First version, updates yet to come.
    I have not thought out the unit types yet but it will be a hard counter system. *
    The defensive structures are also not yet thought out.

    Rivers,
    Moving camera
    And the resource gatering is finally working.

    Thanks everybody!


    Shinkiro: Everything is turn based.
    In a turn you can construct buildings and command your units.
    There is no limit to the amount of buildings you can place in 1 turn, but you start out with way fewer resources.

    Are you using some kind of minecraft style building like because the mine/river/ everything besides grass looks like minecraft blocks.

    Not saying its bad, just curious. But keep up the good work, looks cool

    Raigex: indeed i've used voxels the same style as minecraft i do that because it looks cool and its easy to model.

    Next update will be saturday because tomorrow it will be 36 degrees celcius:(,
    so i am going to swim the whole day.

    Next Update will include:!:
    -Menu
    -Trade
    -And wood choppers can only be placed close to a forest, mines close to a mountain and clay bakerys close to a river.
    -Population

    I was not happy with the trade system
    so i decided to redo it. Update coming tomorrow.

    Still not happy with the trade system.
    Redoing it AGAIN.
    Everything else done.
