    Hey forum,

City Builder Urban 2 is in development and will be submitting for review in the next few weeks.

CBU2 has the same quality visuals, scale, and performance CBU1 but with a Japan-style this time
and will also be priced the same at $33.99

Just like before this asset will release with about 90 - 120 assets and will be expanded with updates

Feel free to follow this thread to be updated over the next few weeks and get notified on release.

    The Giveaway

Just like before I will be running a giveaway on this asset, to enter all you need to do is give
an idea on how you think this asset could be expanded or improved on, I will then pick someone and they will receive the asset for free on release.

    Screenshots

Note: these are early screenshots and some parts are still block out (Shopfronts Ect)

Your asset is looking good so far, and I have a couple of ideas, one is to add some street food stands, and the other is to add a park with some Shrine or a Pagoda.

The park is a smart idea, as for food stands, I was thinking of inserting some shop faces and then adding some kitchen/ restaurant props.

Possibly a few items that show a slightly future or retro time period, so the era of the city setting can be adjusted a little, and one district can be made to look a little different from another.

that's a cool idea, I don't want to add any futuristic props but adding variations of prefabs could work well

First of it should be modular - ex: all those advertisements should be different objects.
You could add those distinct asian style messy electricity poles and wires.
Japanese road signs - easy to make and it's a nice prop.
Also sign on a road (stop).
Bottoms of building should have niches for shops etc.
    Road/Pavement light down casting lanterns.
    Bicycles/scooters(delivery scooters).
    Air conditioning ventilators outside building.
    Some urban Japanese plants.

I meant slightly futuristic ... cutting edge, I guess. I'm struggling to think of an example, but kind of like LED lights versus incandescent / fluorescent lights. The idea would be to show that one part of town is newer or higher tech than an older part of town.

Another type of contrast would be rich versus poor, which can partly be indicated by old versus new objects.

Ohhh I see, that would be possible

A lot to think about here, some of this stuff is already being worked on but that being said this could definitely help expand the asset
