Question Cinemachine license

    In light of the recent Unity news, I've been evaluating the components of my project that are in questionable porting status.

    Cinemachine is open source, but I can't find the actual license anywhere.
    I see numerous forks of Cinemachine.

    Besides the obvious technical changes that are required to adapt Cinemachine to another engine, would the license stop me from using Cinemachine in a project outside of Unity?

    I am not a lawyer, but my gut feeling is that you can't use Cinemachine outside of a Unity context.

    We are all (including Unity employees) eagerly waiting for more updates from Unity management. I wouldn't take action just yet.

    Thanks for your response. I understand things are up in the air right now. I'm just evaluating my options, which will take a while to estimate involved work. It's possible the other options are really not in my favor anyway.
