i'm using the new unity input system together with cinemachine for the split screen with the cinemachine input provider for the new input sytem qnd when i change the index from -1 to the corresponding 0 and 1 index of the player i get the following error "
ArgumentOutOfRangeException: Specified argument was out of the range of valid values.
    Parameter name: index"

and i can't find what's wrong and i can't find much online of people getting it to work or with the same issue

Can you give more details about the message? Is that the full log?

Hey thanks for the quick response but i managed to fix it i was giving the indexes without the players in the scene and the moment i spawned them the input provider wasn't checking for the index anymore.

So my players are in the scene, any ideas why I may be getting this error? It is only with the input provider with the index that it set to 1. The one that is set to 0 is fine. I have 2 players and am using the freelook camera. Both player objects have an input component on them.
