When I export to FBX6.0, the resulting .fbx file will open in C4D and play the animation I expect.

But the same .fbx file in Unity doesn't animate, or only animates 1 out of 15 bones.

Anyone have any ideas here? I'm not using IK (I don't have MOCCA plug-in).

Also, is it possible to have more than one animation inside the same C4D file correctly import into Unity?

Hm, possibly it can be a problem with IK Animations. If you used IK, have you baked all keyframes? That could solve the problem.

I have a similar problem with C4D R10. But this is an issue inside the C4D export filter for fbx6.0, wich will be solved with the upcoming update. So far, one of Maxons programmers said, that 9.6 will export correctly to fbx. So, you should get your Anims into Unity with an ease.

No IK in use; but the problem turned out to be that I had a bone with no weight map assigned to its restriction tag. Since that bone was the parent of the bones I expected to see animated, nothing played inside Unity.

So, solved this one myself. Thanks though. :)
